Phases of Development

Econ-IT commenced on 1st January 2007 and will conclude in December 2008. There are 7 main phases in the development of the project as detailed hereafter

Phase 1 -  MARKET ASSESSMENT

Aim:

To identify the strengths and weaknesses of the current structures for business adviser training in the 6 partner states, to identify training opportunities and to assist the exchange and adoption of best practice.

Time Period:

Months 1-5

Phase 2 - COMPETENCY FRAMEWORK DEVELOPMENT

Aim:

To establish common competency areas for the training course, ensuring a curriculum framework which is responsive to the needs and learning aptitudes of the target trainees, and which is suitable to future mainstreaming.

Time Period:

Months 6 - 10

Phase 3 - MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT

Aim:

To develop a package of highly relevant training and support materials for blended learning formats based on the results of the previous two workpackages.

Time Period:

Months 8 - 13

Phase 4 - TECHNICAL REALIZATION

Aim:

To transfer the learning materials into an intuitive, effective blended learning format for incorporation into the website and CD ROM.

Phase 5 - PILOT TESTING

Aim:

To ensure the high relevancy and quality of the training resource with targeted end users thus facilitating the achievement of desired project impacts.

Phase 6 -  VALORISATION PLAN

Aim:

Increase the value and impact of the project and its learning outcomes in relation to mainstream practice and policy development.

Months 1 - 24.

Aim:

Phase 8 - QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN

Aim:

To ensure that a highly quality product is achieved through an effective and productive partnership in which risk is managed and corrective action may be taken to ensure the meeting of quantitative or qualitative objectives.
